The Story

A global financial services client retained ISS to provide integrated facility services to offices, datacenters, and trading floors. Over time, ISS helped embrace innovation, adapt to the changing work environment, reduce risk, develop smarter, efficient facilities, and maintain spaces that attract and retain the best talent.

Before ISS, the client worked with 65 facility providers. ISS re-aligned services, processes, and staffing; retained appropriate incumbent employees; and forged agreements with unions to minimize disruption during the transition from that structure.

The client also had incomplete knowledge of owned assets. ISS cataloged and rated 300,000 pieces of equipment, machinery, and other assets worldwide. This enabled preventative maintenance and capital planning programs.

To make the client a top talent choice, ISS engaged with employees, introduced an app, provided restaurant-quality dining, and supported diversity and inclusion goals through workplace experience. 

With ISS as a partner, the client derived 21% savings from single versus multiple providers, achieved 17 LEED and WELL certifications, rolled-out an energy optimization program targeting 104 GWh of savings over five years, and undertook zero waste-related projects targeting TRUE Zero Waste Certification.
