ISS retains and expands major security contract at Brisbane Airport

ISS Australia has extended its security contract with Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) for a further three years, continuing its 20-year partnership to create great traveler experiences.
ISS will build on its existing scope of security screening at BAC’s domestic and international terminals, mobile patrols and active surveillance services. A key focus for ISS at Brisbane Airport over the next three years is investing in world-class technology platforms to lead the next evolution of aviation security, including a new integrated mobile digital platform to support security supervisors with operational decision-making.

Jonathan Reeves, Executive General Manager – Aviation & Transport, ISS Australia, comments:

“I’m delighted to continue our long-standing partnership with Brisbane Airport. As security providers at the airport, we need to be both a safe pair of hands today at the same time as being forward thinking to ensure our security service meets the needs and threats of tomorrow. I am confident ISS will deliver on these priorities to protect all passengers, visitors and staff at Brisbane Airport.”

In addition to ISS’s emphasis on innovation and technology, its industry-leading training technologies and investment in its people are key differentiators in the marketplace. With its new position as an Australian government-approved Registered Training Organisation, ISS can offer nationally recognised certifications to drive greater efficiencies, control and compliance.

Providing an amazing customer experience for all passengers and visitors is at the heart of the ISS service delivery. Brisbane Airport and its partners, including ISS, have worked hard over the past few years to improve processes and the passenger experience, leading to winning the “Best Airport in Australia” Award in 2016, 2017 and 2019 at the Skytrax World Airport Awards.

ISS is a leader in the aviation industry, serving 14 out of the 30 busiest airports across the world, including 4 of the 10 busiest Australian airports, where it screens more than 44 million passengers and 374 thousand flights a year. ISS also serves 26 out of 30 largest airlines in the world. In addition to security, ISS delivers a range of facility services to the aviation industry, including food, cleaning, technical and support services as well as facilities management.
