ISS Attends IFMAs World Workplace in Houston

IFMA's World Workplace Conference & Expo
is an annual learning and networking event for professionals in all aspects of
the work environment.
ISS participated in the IFMA World Workplace Conference & Expo in Houston, Texas on October 18-20th.

IFMA’s World Workplace Conference & Expo focuses on facility management and the future of the workplace. The conference is the most longstanding, well-respected learning and networking event for facility management and related professions.  Over 4,500 were in attendance to learn about the future of FM.

As a Gold Corporate Sustaining Partner, ISS sponsored the Awards of Excellence Banquet on Friday night, which honors chapters, councils and individuals for their achievements as authors, leaders, distinguished members, sustainability innovators and beneficial resources for the community.

In addition, ISS hosted several education sessions.  The first one entitled, “The effects of the IoT, AI, Big Data etc. on the processes and cost of FM in Hospitals” focused on the digitalization and automation of the Facility Management processes in the hospital and was led by Karin Schaad, Senior Business Consultant and Segment Sales Healthcare.

Anders Gjørup Hansen, Group Marketing Manager led a session entitled, “The future of Service Management within the FM industry - How to create Work Place End-User service experiences,” which encouraged Facility Management professionals to look at their FM services through the eyes of the end-users.  Additionally, Peter Ankerstjerne, Chief Marketing Officer and Jeffrey Saunders, Director, Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies, teamed up to present  “The ISS 2020 Vision: Health & well-being in the workplace through best in class service experiences,” which provided insights on creating best in class workplace experiences that promote employee health and well-being via user-centric service design and management.
